We are here so that people can stay in the place they know, with their own things around them, and receive help at the times that genuinely suit them. Most of our work is with older adults. That can mean a brief call to help with getting up, washing, dressing and medication, help with meals, shopping and household tasks, or longer visits for people who need closer support and company through the day. We adjust how long and how often we come as needs change, rather than leaving an arrangement in place because it was what was agreed months ago. We support people living with dementia, where the most useful thing we bring is a familiar person who is not hurrying and who already knows how this individual likes things done. We work with people who have physical disabilities, helping with washing, dressing, mobility and getting out of the house without making anybody feel like a task to be completed, and we support younger adults, whose lives are organised around work, study, family and independence. We keep the team around each person as small as we can, because familiar workers notice small changes early. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission.
