About Us
AQS Homecare Hampshire supports people in their own homes across Southampton and the surrounding area. Our work covers a wide range of needs and ages. We visit older people who want to stay in their own houses, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing mental ill health, people with a physical disability, and people with sight or hearing loss. We also support adults living with an eating disorder and adults affected by alcohol or drug use, and a good part of our work is with younger adults.
Because the range is broad, we are careful about who we send where. Carers are trained for the specific work they are asked to do and are supervised properly, and we would rather say that we are not the right agency for a particular situation than take it on and manage it badly. We work with GPs, community teams and social workers so that support at home fits with everything else going on for the person.
Practically, we build the plan around the person after a proper conversation in their own home, including what they want to keep doing for themselves. We keep continuity of carers wherever the rota allows, and we expect people to tell us when something is not working, because that is how it gets fixed.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are weighing up care at home in Hampshire, call us and we will come out and talk honestly about whether we can help.
