About Us
Hillside Support Group provides care in people's own homes in Nottingham and across Nottinghamshire. Our work is with older people who want to carry on living in the house they know, and with younger adults who need support to live independently.
What that looks like varies from person to person. For some it is a single morning call to help with washing and dressing and to get breakfast under way. For others it is several visits through the day covering personal care, medication, meals, laundry and some company. For younger adults the emphasis is often less on doing things for people and more on making it possible for them to do things themselves.
We keep a small team around each person so that the carer at the door is somebody they know. It matters for the person, and it means our carers notice early when something has changed, which often lets us raise a concern with family or a GP before it becomes serious.
We start with a visit and an unhurried conversation at home, and we review the plan as things move on.
