About Us

We are Fosse Healthcare in Newark, and our work takes us into people's own homes across the town and the surrounding parts of Nottinghamshire. Home care suits people who want to stay where they feel most themselves, surrounded by their own belongings and their own routines, and our job is to make that possible rather than to take it over.

Most of the people we visit are older adults, and many are living with dementia. We also support younger adults, people with a learning disability, autistic people, people managing mental health needs, and those living with a physical disability or with sight and hearing loss. Some of the people who come to us are working through problems with alcohol or drugs, and we approach that as we approach everything else, without judgement and at the pace the person sets.

Because we come into somebody's home, we think a great deal about consistency. Familiar faces matter, and so does turning up when we said we would. We build visits around what the person actually wants help with, whether that is personal care, medication, meals, getting out of the house, or company at a set point in the day, and we revisit the arrangement as needs change.
