About Us

We provide support in people's own homes and communities in Mansfield and across the east Midlands. We work with older people needing help with daily living, with adults who have a learning disability, with autistic adults, with people who have a physical disability, with people whose sight or hearing is impaired and with younger adults building independence at home.

Our starting point is that support should make somebody's own life possible rather than take it over. For some people that means help with personal care, medication and daily routines. For others it means practical assistance with cooking, budgeting, correspondence and appointments. For others again it means somebody alongside them at college, at work, at a club or simply getting out into town.

Where people have a physical disability we take the time that moving and transfers properly require, using the right equipment and explaining as we go. For the autistic people we support, clear communication and notice of change do most of the work.

We involve people fully in deciding who supports them and how, and we review arrangements openly, including when something is not working.
