About Home Office
We are a home care agency based in Thirsk, supporting adults in their own homes across this part of North Yorkshire. We support older people, people living with dementia, and people with physical disabilities. We have kept our focus narrow rather than claiming to cover everything, and home care for older and disabled adults is what we do. The work is practical: help with washing and dressing, support with medication, meals prepared properly, shopping, housework, and a hand getting out of the house. For some people that is one call a day and for others it is several. Covering a market town and a great deal of countryside, we plan our rounds realistically. A visit out in a village should be as dependable as one in the middle of Thirsk, and if we cannot promise that we would rather say so at the outset than let somebody down later. For somebody living with dementia, a familiar worker arriving at a familiar time is worth a great deal, so we try hard to keep the same small group of people visiting. A stranger in the house at an unexpected hour can undo a whole day. Please ring us if you would like to talk about care at home, and we will be straightforward about what we can offer and when we could start.
