About Us

On The Spot Homecare provides care and support in people's own homes across Skipton and the surrounding parts of North Yorkshire.

We visit older people and younger adults. Support may cover personal care, help with medication, meals, shopping, laundry and keeping on top of the house, and for many of the people we see it also means reliable company and someone who notices how they are doing. Packages range from one short call a day to several visits, or longer support where needs are more involved.

We work with people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Each of those changes how we plan a visit and how we communicate, so we take the trouble to learn what suits the individual rather than applying a standard approach.

Care begins with an assessment at home and an honest conversation about what would genuinely help. The plan is the person's own, family are part of it when the person wants them involved, and we revise it as circumstances change.

Turning up when we said, doing what we promised and telling families promptly when something is wrong are the foundations of this work, and we take them seriously.
