About Us

Majesty Healthcare provides support at home to adults in Richmond and the surrounding part of North Yorkshire.

The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, younger adults who need support to live independently and people dealing with alcohol or drug misuse.

That is a wide range, and it only works because support is built around the individual rather than issued as a standard package. A morning call to help an older person wash and dress has very little in common with supporting somebody through recovery, and we assess properly, agree the support with the person, and change it when their circumstances change.

Working across a market town and a great deal of countryside means distances are real and public transport is thin. People here can become isolated long before they become unwell, so getting somebody out and keeping them connected is often as valuable as any practical task.

Some of the areas we work in carry real stigma, and people have often had more experience of being judged than helped. We try to be straightforward and useful instead.
