Pathways Supported Living, part of IntegraCare, supports people in their own homes in Harrogate and across North Yorkshire. We work with adults who have a learning disability, with autistic adults, with people who have mental health needs or physical disabilities, and with younger adults building independent lives. Supported living means the person holds their own tenancy and the home is theirs, not ours. Our job is to make independent living workable and then to step back as far as the person wants us to. Support is planned with them, in a form they understand, and covers what they are trying to achieve as much as the help they need. Cooking, budgeting, managing a home, health appointments, work, college, relationships and getting out to the places they enjoy. Where somebody has mental health needs we agree in advance what a difficult period looks like for them and what they want us to do, so decisions are not being invented at the worst possible moment. Where somebody does not use speech, we learn how they do communicate and make sure every member of their team knows. Where a person wants to need us less over time, that is the goal and we plan for it openly rather than quietly avoiding it. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us outstanding overall. We were glad of it and treat it as a standard to keep meeting. Please get in touch to talk about support.
