Calls are long enough to do things properly and to have a real conversation, we introduce carers before care starts, and we keep the same small team going to the same household so that nobody is opening the door to a stranger. For people living with dementia that continuity is not a nicety, it does most of the good. The work covers personal care, medication, meals, shopping and housework, help to get to appointments and to see friends, and company for people who might otherwise spend long days alone. We want to be open about our regulator rather than leave you to find it elsewhere. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission found that we require improvement. We have taken that seriously, there is an action plan we are working through with our office and field teams, and we are happy to talk anyone considering us through exactly what was raised, what has changed since and what is still in hand.
