About EverKind Services

EverKind is a home care agency in Harrogate, supporting people in their own homes across the town and the wider part of North Yorkshire around it. We work with a broad range of people. Older adults make up most of our visits, many of them living with dementia. We also support younger adults, people with a learning disability, autistic people, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. Our starting point is always the household rather than a list of tasks. Who else lives there and how worn out are they. What can the person still do and would resent having taken over. Which part of the day is actually going wrong. From that we agree a plan in plain language and we change it when the circumstances change, which they generally do. Visits can be half an hour or most of a day, and cover personal care, medicines, meals, housework, shopping, appointments and company. We try to send the same few workers to each household, because continuity is most of what makes home care tolerable. We are a newer agency and have not yet had a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission, so there is no rating to point you at. In place of one we offer a visit, a frank conversation and the chance to judge us on both.
