About Us

Sunlight Care in Islington provides care and support to people in their own homes across the borough. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people managing mental health conditions, and people with a physical disability or with sight or hearing loss.

Everything starts with a conversation in the person's own home. We want to understand how the day currently works, where it breaks down, what somebody still wants to do for themselves and what they would genuinely welcome help with. The plan that follows is agreed with the person and written in language they can actually use.

Our carers are trained for the needs they support and supervised in the work, and we keep teams as consistent as the rota allows.

We work alongside families, GPs, community nurses and social workers so that support is joined up rather than fragmented.
