About Us
We provide support at home in Newham and the surrounding part of London, working with older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities, autistic people and people living with mental health conditions.
Our work falls into two broad parts, and we do not pretend they are the same thing. For older people it usually means help with daily life so that somebody can stay in the house they know: washing and dressing, support with medication, meals, shopping and keeping on top of things. For younger adults it is more often about building a life of their own. Managing a tenancy, getting to work, college or something they enjoy, handling money, keeping appointments and taking part in life beyond the front door.
In both cases we ask what the person actually wants help with before we suggest anything, and we try hard to send the same staff consistently. For autistic people and anyone whose mental health is unsettled, a familiar face and a predictable arrangement can matter more than extra hours.
Our staff are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and have senior colleagues they can call on. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly.
