About Us

We are Medacs Healthcare, and this is our Leicester team, supporting adults in their own homes across the city and the surrounding county. Our visits range from a single short call each day through to several hours of support. We help older people with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and the household jobs that become harder with time. We support adults living with dementia, where familiar faces arriving at predictable times do more good than anything else we can offer. We also support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people living with mental ill health and people with physical disabilities, along with younger adults who want help that steps back as they take on more themselves. Everything starts with a visit and a proper conversation at home, with family or an advocate present if that is wanted. The plan is written with the person, records what matters to them and not only which tasks need doing, and is reviewed when circumstances change. Leicester is a diverse city, so we ask about language, faith, food and household customs instead of assuming, and we match care workers thoughtfully where we can.
