About Us

We are Care Cover 24/7 East Midlands, a home care agency supporting adults in their own homes in Derby and across Leicestershire. We work with older people and with younger adults, including people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss.

Our starting point is the person's own account of their life rather than a standard assessment. What is still manageable, what has become difficult, what they would like to get back and what they would rather we did not touch. The plan comes out of that conversation, is written in plain language, and is reviewed properly when circumstances change instead of being left to go stale.

Visits range from a single daily call covering washing, dressing and medication, through to several longer visits taking in meals, personal care, mobility, household tasks and getting out. We also provide reliable cover for family carers who are doing most of the caring themselves.

Covering two areas means being realistic about travel, so we are honest at the outset about which places we can serve properly and what times we can genuinely commit to. A call time we cannot keep is worse than a straight refusal.
