About Us

Bluebird Care provides support at home to people across Chorley, Leyland, Ormskirk and the surrounding parts of Lancashire.

Our visits are built around the person rather than a standard pattern, covering help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry and shopping, and support to get out to appointments or into the day.

Most of our work is with older people, and a good deal of it is with people living with dementia. Consistency is where we put our effort, because a carer who knows a household can tell within a minute how someone is today and adjusts without making anything of it. We also support adults living with a physical disability, where equipment, layout and mobility usually decide how much someone can do for themselves, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, where we adapt how we announce ourselves and how we communicate. Younger adults are part of our work too.

We cover a spread of towns and a fair amount of countryside between them, so travel goes into the rota rather than coming out of anyone's time, and we treat conversation as part of a visit rather than an extra.
