About Somack Healthcare

We are Somack Healthcare, a home care agency supporting people across Lambeth and neighbouring parts of London. We help adults to stay living in their own homes, with as much or as little support as they actually need. Most of the people we visit are older adults, and many are living with dementia. We also support people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need help with personal care, medication, meals, shopping and getting out and about. In a busy part of London, we know that being able to stay put, among familiar neighbours and familiar streets, is often the whole point. Home care only works if it is dependable, so that is what we concentrate on. We agree a plan with the person and, where they want it, with their family. We arrive when we said we would. We stay the full time. We write down what we did and flag anything that has changed, because a small change noticed early often prevents a crisis later. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. In the meantime we are happy to explain how we recruit, train and supervise our staff, and to put you in touch with people we already support so you can judge us on more than our own word.
