About Carebybio

We are Carebybio, based in Lambeth, and we provide care in people's own homes across south London. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Our reason for doing home care rather than anything else is simple. Home is where the routines make sense, where you know where everything is kept, and where you are still the one who decides. Support that keeps somebody there is usually worth more than support that moves them somewhere unfamiliar, and it is often less than people imagine. Every arrangement begins with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to do for yourself, and where would a hand actually help? From those answers we agree the visits, which might be one short call a day, several calls, or a longer stretch so that a family carer gets a proper break. London can be isolating as well as convenient, and for some of the people we visit our carer is the main person they will see that day. We take that seriously and we keep the same carers with the same households wherever we can. We have not yet had an overall rating published by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather say so ourselves, and we welcome close questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our carers.
