About Hilton Nursing Partners

Hilton Nursing Partners is a home care agency in Tonbridge, supporting adults in their own homes across the area. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment, and people managing a mental health condition. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased with that and wary of it, because the standard takes considerably more effort to hold than to reach. A good deal of our work is about helping somebody regain ground rather than simply maintaining them. After a hospital stay, a fall or an illness, many people can get back much of what they have lost if the support is aimed that way. That means encouraging a person to do what they can manage themselves, even when it is slower and less tidy than doing it for them, and stepping back gradually as they recover. Where needs are permanent rather than temporary the aim changes, but the habit of asking what somebody wants to do for themselves still holds. If you are arranging support at home locally, please get in touch and we will discuss what would genuinely help.

What the inspectors found

A plain English summary of the Care Quality Commission inspection behind the current rating of Hilton Nursing Partners Limited. Report published 10 November 2022.

  • 30 June 2022

Safe

Inspectors found systems in place to protect people from the risk of abuse, and effective ways to learn when things went wrong. Risk assessments had enough information for staff to provide safe care, and staffing was assessed every day. Inspectors looked at this area after concerns about managing incidents and staff training, and found no evidence that people were at risk of harm from this concern.

Well-led

Inspectors found the service continued to be exceptionally well-led. Staff and the registered manager kept putting in place new systems to create innovative ways to help people leave hospital more efficiently. The provider was also part of a working group to create an ethical recruitment system for overseas staff, and staff were supported to develop and grow in their roles.
