Safe
Inspectors found that medicines were managed safely. Nurses and care staff had been trained to give medicines, and action was taken when any shortfalls were found. Risks to people had been assessed, there were enough staff with the right skills, and staff were recruited safely.
Effective
Inspectors found that people's needs were assessed before they started to receive live-in support. Care plans gave staff specific guidance on how to meet those needs. Staff supported people with food and drink, and asked for people's consent before care tasks.
Caring
Inspectors found that staff knew people well, including their likes, dislikes and personal histories. People were treated with dignity and respect, and their privacy was kept. Staff were kind and supported people to be independent.
Responsive
Inspectors found that care plans were person centred and responsive to people's needs. People were supported to keep in contact with people who mattered to them. Systems were in place for people to make a complaint.
Well-led
Inspectors found that a registered manager had been in post since September 2018. Systems were in place to check the quality of the service, and action was taken when shortfalls were found. People's views were sought and acted on to improve the agency.
