About PentaCare (West)

PentaCare provides care and support to people in their own homes in Sevenoaks and across west Kent. We work with older people and with younger adults, and our experience covers dementia, learning disabilities and autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, sensory loss, and support for people affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Support is agreed at home with the person and whoever they want involved. It might be a short daily call for personal care and medication, several visits for meals, company and help around the house, or support that is less about the body than about keeping a life together: appointments kept, money managed, a routine that holds when things are hard. We need to be straight about where we stand. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We accepted what was found rather than contesting it. Since then we have strengthened supervision and training, tightened how visits, medicines and records are managed and checked, and increased how closely senior staff look at the care actually being given rather than the care written down. That work continues and we will not claim it is complete. We would rather raise this ourselves and answer questions openly than have a family learn it elsewhere. Ask us anything, including the uncomfortable questions about reliability and continuity, because those are the ones that decide whether an arrangement works.
