About Xtracare

We at Xtracare are proud to offer compassionate home care across Maidstone and the wider Kent area, supporting people to live safely and comfortably in the familiar surroundings of their own homes. As a dedicated home care agency, we understand that choosing support for a loved one is a deeply personal decision, and we are here to make that journey feel reassuring from the very first conversation. Based in the ME postcode area, our team travels throughout Maidstone and neighbouring communities in the South East, bringing personalised care directly to residents wherever they call home. Whether that home is a family house, a bungalow, a flat, or sheltered accommodation, we work within the environment our clients know and love, allowing them to maintain treasured routines, remain close to neighbours and family, and enjoy the comfort of their own belongings whilst receiving the support they need. Our care is shaped around a broad range of specialisms so that we can meet people where they are in life. We provide dedicated older person care for those who need a helping hand with daily living, alongside specialist dementia care delivered with patience, warmth, and an understanding of how important gentle familiarity can be. For individuals living with mental health needs, we offer thoughtful, respectful support that promotes wellbeing and independence. Our experience with physical disability care means we approach mobility, personal care, and daily tasks with practical skill and dignity, whilst our support for those with visual or hearing impairment is tailored to communication preferences and sensory needs. We also welcome younger adults who benefit from home based support, recognising that quality care is not defined by age but by the individual receiving it. In practice, this means families can expect care that flexes with changing needs. From a short daily visit to help with medication, meals, or personal care, through to more comprehensive packages of ongoing support, we work closely with clients and their loved ones to build a plan that feels right. We believe good home care is about more than tasks on a list. It is about the warm greeting at the door, the cup of tea shared during a visit, the reassurance a family member feels knowing someone kind and capable is looking in on their relative. Communication with families is central to our approach, and we aim to be a steady, dependable presence for everyone connected to the person we care for. The Care Quality Commission has rated Xtracare as Good overall, with Good ratings across all five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. For families, this independent assessment offers meaningful reassurance. It reflects that our care is safe and trustworthy, that our approach achieves positive outcomes, that our team treats people with genuine kindness, that we respond thoughtfully to individual needs, and that our agency is managed with care and integrity. Whilst ratings tell part of the story, we know the everyday experience of families and clients tells the rest, and we work hard to uphold these standards in every visit we make. Choosing home care is a significant step, and we understand the mix of emotions that can come with it. If you are exploring options for yourself or a loved one in Maidstone or the surrounding Kent area, we warmly invite you to get in touch with us at Xtracare. We would be delighted to listen, answer your questions, and talk through how we might support your family with care that feels personal, respectful, and genuinely kind.
