About Right at Home
Right at Home Maidstone is a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across Maidstone and the surrounding part of Kent. We work with older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people who have a physical disability. The name says what nearly everybody we meet wants, and making it realistic for as long as it is safe is the whole of our purpose. In practice that means help to get up, washed and dressed in a way that leaves a person feeling like themselves, medication managed and recorded properly, meals actually cooked, help to move safely about a house that may no longer suit its occupant, and a reliable person turning up in a week that could otherwise hold very little. For families who have been holding a situation together alone, it also means a proper break. We are stubborn about sending the same carers to the same people. That continuity is not decoration. A carer who knows somebody notices the untouched food, the new bruise, the change in mood or the pile of unopened post. A stranger notices nothing at all. For people living with dementia, familiarity and an unhurried pace work better than explanation. For people with a physical disability, we take the time to learn how that individual wants to be helped to move. The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating. Call us and we will be plain about what we can and cannot do.

More about the care at Right at Home
Dementia Care at Right at Home
An agency registered in August 2026 has no inspection report, and this is one of them. Dementia care is on its registration, and it says familiarity and an unhurried pace work better than explanation. It describes itself as stubborn about sending the same carers to the same people, arguing that continuity is not decoration. A carer who knows somebody notices the untouched food, the new bruise or the pile of unopened post, while a stranger notices nothing. Ask how that continuity survives holidays and sickness, and how many carers a person would meet in a month. Ask how distress is handled and how visits are reviewed as dementia advances.
Home Care at Right at Home
Kent is the authority to approach about an assessment and any funded hours. Rates across the South East run from roughly £29 to £35 an hour, which is indicative and not this agency's price. The weekly figure depends on how many visits are needed and how long each lasts. A proper break for families who have been holding a situation together alone is also offered. The agency says its purpose is making it realistic for someone to stay at home for as long as that is safe. Ask about minimum visit lengths, how rotas are built and what notice a change requires.
Older Person Care at Right at Home
IA Care UK registered this Maidstone agency on 26 August 2026, and no CQC rating has been published. It is registered for older person care in people's own homes across Maidstone and the surrounding part of Kent. The work is described as help to get up, washed and dressed in a way that leaves a person feeling like themselves, with medication managed and recorded properly. Meals actually cooked, help to move safely about a house that may no longer suit its occupant, and a reliable person turning up in an otherwise empty week are also listed. Ask how early and how late visits can run and who covers an absence. Ask whether anything is available overnight, since rounds usually end at bedtime.
Younger Adults at Right at Home
Maidstone and the surrounding part of Kent make up this agency's working area. Younger adults are on its registration, and someone under 65 usually needs support fitted around work, study or their own plans. The agency's own description centres on older people and dementia, so flexibility is the thing to test. Ask how far visit times can move and how often the plan is reviewed.
Physical Disability at Right at Home
Moving safely about a house that may no longer suit its occupant is one of the tasks named. Physical disability is on the registration, and because visits happen at home the equipment and adaptations belong to the household. Kent would arrange an occupational therapy assessment for hoists, rails or a wet room. Ask how carers are trained in moving and handling and how risks are recorded.
