About Community Lifeline
Community Lifeline provides care at home across Longfield and the surrounding parts of Kent. We support older adults and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, and those living with a physical disability. The range is deliberate. A village and its neighbouring towns do not divide neatly into categories of need, and we would rather be able to help the people who live here than send them elsewhere. What that requires is staff trained for the particular people they visit, so that someone supporting an autistic adult in the morning and an older person with dementia in the afternoon is properly prepared for both. Good home care is largely made of small reliable things. Arriving when you said you would. Knowing where the kettle lives and how the person takes their tea. Noticing that somebody is quieter than usual. Writing down what actually happened so the next visit starts from the truth. We put our effort there rather than into promises. Where families are involved we keep them informed, and where people want to manage their own affairs we help them do that instead. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you are thinking about support at home, give us a call and we will talk it through with you honestly.
