The other is sending people the person already knows, because nobody should have to explain themselves afresh every week, and a familiar carer is the one who spots that something has changed. For people with sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate rather than working around them, since being unable to follow what is happening is isolating in a way that is easy to underestimate.
