About Care Services
Gravesend Care provides support to adults in their own homes across Gravesend and the surrounding parts of Kent. The people we visit have a range of needs. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Support may cover personal care, help with medication, meals, shopping, laundry and household tasks, and often the wider business of living as well, from appointments and paperwork to getting out and seeing people. Support is planned with the person rather than for them. We begin by asking what somebody wants their week to look like, what they can already manage, where help genuinely makes a difference and where it would simply get in the way, and we write the plan from those answers. It changes when circumstances shift or when the person changes their mind. For autistic people we pay close attention to communication, predictability and sensory needs. For people living with mental health conditions we plan for the harder periods as well as the settled ones. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection.
