About Us
At 5C's Professionals Agency we support people in their own homes in Dartford and across Kent, working with older people, adults living with dementia, adults with mental health needs, adults with a physical disability, people with sight or hearing loss, people affected by alcohol or drug misuse and younger adults.
Home care has to fit an actual life rather than a template, so we start with a conversation about how a person lives now and what would genuinely help. That might be a call first thing so washing, dressing and breakfast are manageable, support with medication through the day, help with meals, shopping and laundry, or longer visits that give a family carer a real break. For younger adults it is often the practical support that makes work, study and independence possible.
We try to send the same small group of carers to each person, because trust is built at the door through familiar faces. Our carers are asked to look past the task in front of them, so if somebody is eating less, sleeping badly, withdrawing or seeming unsteady, we want to know and we will raise it with the family and with health professionals where that is appropriate. We work without judgement, which matters particularly for people whose lives have been complicated by addiction.
