About Us
We provide care in people's own homes in Canterbury and the surrounding villages. Our work is with older people who want to carry on living in the house they know, with enough support to make that realistic.
What that looks like varies. For some people it is a single morning call to help with washing and dressing and to get breakfast under way. For others it is several visits through the day covering medication, meals, laundry and a bit of company. The point is to cover what has become difficult and to leave alone what has not, because taking over more than is needed does nobody any favours.
Our carers are local and our rounds are planned so that visits actually land when they are supposed to. If somebody needs help to get up, a late call is not a minor inconvenience, it is an hour of their morning lost.
We begin with a visit and a conversation at home, with family involved if that is what the person wants. The plan we write is built around the routine that already exists rather than a new one we have decided on, and we review it as things change.
