About Us
We are Primcura Healthcare, a home care agency in Canterbury, Kent. We support people in their own homes, including adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults.
Supporting somebody in their own home means working on their terms rather than ours. It is their space, their routine and their household, and we are there by invitation. That shapes the practical side of the job: asking before we move anything, putting it back where it belongs, and fitting the visit around the person rather than expecting them to fit around us.
For autistic people and adults with learning disabilities, predictability is not a nicety but the thing that makes support workable. Saying what is going to happen and when, and then being right about it, does more than any amount of reassurance. We adapt how we communicate to the person rather than expecting them to adapt to us, and we take the trouble to check that we have actually been understood.
Continuity matters for the same reason. We keep the same workers going to the same people wherever the rota allows, because somebody who has to explain themselves afresh each week is not being supported properly.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating.
