About Enablement at Home

Kent Enablement at Home provides care and support in people's own homes in Broadstairs and the surrounding area. As the name suggests, a good deal of our work is about helping people regain or keep their independence rather than simply doing things for them. We support older adults with the everyday things that have become harder: personal care, medication, meals, keeping the house in order and getting out safely when they want to. Where somebody is recovering after illness, injury or a spell in hospital, our aim is to help them do more for themselves over time rather than to settle into a pattern where we do it all. We also support people with physical disabilities, helping with personal care, mobility and getting out of the house, and doing so in a way that leaves the person deciding how things are done. Being helped is not the same as being taken over, and the difference matters a great deal to the people we work with. We keep the team around each person as small and consistent as we can manage, because familiar workers notice progress and setbacks alike. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us and ask us anything you need to know.
