About Us
We are PHC Health Care, a home care agency based in Waltham Cross and supporting people across Hertfordshire and the neighbouring parts of north London. All of our work takes place in people's own homes, arranged around the routines they already have, because most people would far rather stay where their belongings, neighbours and habits are.
We support older people who need help with personal care, medication, meals, shopping or keeping the house running. We support people living with dementia, where continuity of carer and a predictable routine do more good than almost anything else. We work with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people living with mental ill health, with people who have a physical disability and with people who have a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we communicate to suit the individual rather than the other way round. We also support younger adults who want practical help that makes work, study and everyday plans achievable.
Support can be a short call each morning, several visits through the day, longer periods of company that give a family carer a break, or fuller assistance where needs have grown. We agree the detail at the start, put it in writing plainly and revisit it as things change rather than letting a plan go stale.
Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us good overall. If you are looking into care at home in this area, we would be glad to visit and talk it through with you.
