About Us

Havering Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Hornchurch and across the borough. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people managing mental health conditions, and people with a physical disability or with sight or hearing loss.

We start every arrangement in the same way, by visiting and listening. What somebody needs is often different from what a referral suggests, and care planned without that conversation tends to be care that does not fit. Once we have agreed what would genuinely help, we put it in writing plainly and get on with it.

Our support covers personal care, prompting and help with medication, preparing meals and drinks, moving about safely, shopping, laundry and housework, and getting out to appointments and activities. Visits can be short and daily or long and frequent depending on the need, and we adjust as things change.

Carers are trained for the work they take on and supervised in it, and we keep the same people visiting the same households wherever the rota allows.
