About Us

We are Enchanting Care, based at Waterlooville in Hampshire, and we provide care in people's own homes across the area. We support older people, including many living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults.

Most people who ring us are not sure what they need yet. That is normal, and working it out is part of our job rather than something to sort out before you call. We visit, we ask how the day actually runs, we find out what has become difficult and what somebody still wants to do unaided, and then we suggest what might help. Sometimes the answer is less than people expect.

Support might be half an hour in the morning to get the day started, a prompt and a check with medication, a meal cooked and eaten with company, help moving safely about the house, or several calls a day. For some families the most valuable thing is a longer visit that lets a relative who cares full time get out of the house properly.

We keep the same carers going to the same households wherever we can, because familiarity is what turns a visit into a relationship, and a familiar carer notices small changes first.
