About Invictus Complex Care

Invictus Complex Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Romsey and across Hampshire. The people we work with include older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. A good deal of our work is with people whose needs are complex enough that a standard visiting rota would not be safe or useful. That calls for staff who are trained for the particular person rather than generally, for detailed written plans that everybody follows, and for close working with community nurses, therapists, specialist teams and GPs so that nobody is left repeating themselves to each new professional. It also calls for remembering whose life it is. Complexity is not a reason to stop asking somebody what they want. Plans are agreed with the person, and with family or an advocate where they want that, and revised as things change rather than at fixed review dates. We keep the team around each person small and consistent, because in complex care a support worker who knows the household is a safety measure as much as a kindness. For autistic people we give notice of change well in advance and pay close attention to sensory needs. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
