About Forest Care

We are Forest Care, supporting adults in their own homes in New Milton and the surrounding part of Hampshire. We support older people and people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities or autism, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who want help to live independently. Depending on the person, that might mean personal care, support with medication, meals, help around the house and shopping, or support to get out to an appointment or a group. Because we are guests in somebody's home, they set the terms. We ask how things are usually done and we do them that way rather than arriving with a system of our own. We agree the times that suit and we keep to them, since a late call is no small matter when somebody is waiting to get up or needs their tablets. Wherever the rota allows we send the same small group of workers. Familiarity does much of the work in home care: somebody you know is easier to let in, and a worker who knows you notices sooner when you are unwell. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us if you would like to talk about care at home.
