About Us
Brendoncare Knightwood Mews provides care and support to older people in their own homes in Eastleigh. Our work is about helping people carry on living independently in their own place, with support that arrives when it is needed and stays out of the way when it is not. For some people that is a short call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day begins safely and without a struggle. For others it is support at several points through the day, with meals, mobility, the laundry and keeping the home in order, or a hand with shopping and getting out to appointments. We are careful not to do things for people that they would rather do themselves. Independence is easy to erode with well meant help, and once somebody has stopped doing something it is hard to start again, so we work alongside people rather than taking over. Support is agreed with the person and anyone they want involved, written in plain language and reviewed honestly as needs change. We keep the same carers going to the same households wherever we can, because familiar faces notice the small changes that matter.
