About Us
We are Apex Prime Care at Newman Court, a home care agency supporting people in their own homes and in extra care housing in Basingstoke and the surrounding part of Hampshire. Our work is for people who need help with daily life and have no wish to leave the home they have made.
We support older people and younger adults. That includes people living with dementia, people who have a learning disability, autistic people, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and people with visual or hearing impairment. Visits may cover personal care, support with medication, preparing meals, help with mobility and moving safely about the home, household tasks, companionship and support to get out to appointments or to see people.
Everything begins with a conversation rather than a form. We ask the person what they want their day to look like, what they want help with and what they would prefer to manage themselves, and we involve family and other professionals as far as the person wishes. The plan is written down, followed and reviewed when needs change. Our carers are trained for the clients they visit and we keep the same team around each person wherever we can.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We value it, and the better test is whether the people we support in Basingstoke feel safe, respected and in charge at home.
