TNT Healthcare supports people to carry on living in their own homes in the Greenwich area of London. We work with older people and with younger adults who need help to live independently.
Most people who contact us are not looking for somebody to take over. They want the specific help that makes staying at home workable, and nothing beyond that. We begin with a visit and a proper conversation about how the day goes, what has become difficult and what kind of help would be welcome, then we agree a plan, write it down plainly and review it as circumstances change.
Visits can include help with getting up and going to bed, washing and dressing, prompting or assisting with medication, preparing meals, laundry and light housework, shopping, and getting out to appointments or to see people. For families caring for a relative themselves, we can provide dependable cover so that they can work or rest.
In a busy part of London it would be easy to treat visits as a series of appointments. We try hard not to, sending the same carers to the same households so that people are known rather than merely visited.
