About Us
We are a home care agency based in Gloucester, supporting people in their own homes across the city and the surrounding parts of Gloucestershire. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with a physical disability, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults.
Most people who contact us want the same thing, which is to stay where they are. Our job is to make that sensible rather than to take anything over. Depending on what is needed, that might be a single morning call to help someone wash, dress and get started, several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and company, or a longer sit so that a family carer can get out of the house.
We begin by asking what help is actually wanted, which is not always what a referral form says. People tend to be very clear about what they can still manage and would rather keep doing, and respecting that is as much the job as anything we take on.
Where sight or hearing is reduced, we adapt how we communicate and keep things where the person expects to find them. Where dementia is part of the picture, familiarity does more good than anything else, so we plan rotas to send the same carers.
We keep families informed and raise concerns early rather than waiting.
