About Us

Crossroads Care Gloucestershire supports people in their own homes across Gloucester and the surrounding area. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability or are autistic, with people managing mental health conditions, and with people who have physical disabilities or sight and hearing loss.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that, though what it really reflects is a set of ordinary things done consistently: turning up when we said we would, sending carers people know, giving those carers enough time to do a visit properly, and changing what we do when somebody tells us it is not working.

A great deal of our work is with family carers, and we understand what carrying that responsibility does to a household. A planned, reliable break is often what allows somebody to keep going, and we think it should be arranged around the family rather than around our rota.

Alongside that we provide personal care, prompting and support with medication, meals, shopping and housework, and support to get out and about. We plan it with the person rather than for them.
