About Us
At Caremark Cheltenham and Tewkesbury, we provide home care to people living in Gloucester and across Gloucestershire, supporting individuals to stay in the comfort of their own homes for as long as they wish. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, those with learning disabilities or autism, and people with physical disabilities. Our aim is straightforward: to offer the kind of care we would want for our own families.
We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every day to get things right for the people we support. That rating matters to us, not as a badge to wave around, but because it tells us we are on the right track and that the people we care for and their families can trust us.
Home care is deeply personal. Coming into someone's home is a privilege, and we never lose sight of that. Whether we are supporting someone with personal care, helping to manage daily routines, or providing companionship for a person living with dementia, we take the time to understand what matters most to each individual. Care is not one size fits all, and we do not treat it that way.
We work closely with families and other professionals to make sure the support we provide genuinely fits around someone's life rather than the other way around. When circumstances change, we adapt. When something is not quite right, we listen and we act.
If you are considering home care for yourself or for someone you love, we would welcome the chance to have an honest conversation about how we might help. There is no obligation, just a straightforward chat about what good support could look like for you.

More about the care at Caremark Cheltenham and Tewkesbury
What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.
Older Person Care
An inspection in April 2026 left this agency with a good rating, which is about as fresh as evidence gets. For older people the work covers personal care, help managing daily routines, medication and companionship. The agency says coming into somebody's home is a privilege and that it aims to offer the kind of care it would want for its own families. It also says care is never one size fits all and that it takes time to understand what matters most. Ask how many carers would attend one household in a fortnight, how late a call can be arranged near Gloucester, and who can be reached in the evening.
Dementia
Companionship for a person living with dementia is named directly in this agency's own account of what it does. Home care for dementia also depends on routines that hold, visits arriving when expected and a carer the person already recognises at the door. The agency says it does not treat care as one size fits all, which is the right starting point. Its good rating from April 2026 is recent enough to carry weight on that. Ask what dementia training carers receive, what they do when someone is distressed or will not let them in, and how the plan is revised as the condition advances.
Learning Disability / Autism
Registration here dates from 23 October 2017, so the agency has been operating for some years. Support for a learning disability or autism rests on person centred planning, patience over independence skills, predictable routines and attention to sensory needs. Ask who holds the relevant training, how Gloucestershire commissions and reviews the hours, and how often the plan is revisited.
Physical Disability
Care is not one size fits all, as this agency puts it, and a physical disability is where that shows most plainly. Support turns on personal care, safe moving and handling, and working with whatever equipment is already installed. Ask how carers are matched to those needs, who reviews them as they change, and what the agency will not attempt.
Younger Adults
Staying in their own homes for as long as they wish is how the agency frames its aim, which can mean decades for an adult under 65. At £28 to £33 an hour regionally, a large package is a long commitment. Ask how early and how late carers can call, and whether the same small group can follow a week built around work or study.
