About Betha care

We are a home care agency in Gloucester, supporting people in their own homes across the city and the surrounding area. Those we visit include older adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults. Our help covers personal care, medication, meals, shopping and keeping a household running, alongside the company that a regular caller brings. For some of the people we see, ours is the only knock on the door that day, and we do not treat that as a lesser part of the job than the practical tasks. With dementia, continuity does most of the work. The same carer at the same time, doing things in the same order, in a home where nothing has been moved, makes a genuine difference to how somebody copes. Protecting that means building the rota around people rather than around convenience, which takes more effort and is the right way round. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We would rather state that openly than leave it unsaid. In the meantime we are happy to explain how we recruit, train and check our carers, to introduce the people who would be visiting, and to be judged on what families actually experience.
