About Us

Alina Homecare Brentwood provides care and support in people's own homes around Ingatestone and the wider Brentwood area of Essex. We visit older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic people, and people living with physical disabilities.

The support varies a great deal depending on who we are visiting. For an older person it is often personal care, medication, meals, shopping and company, arranged at the times of day that actually suit them. For a younger adult or somebody with a learning disability it is usually more about enabling than caring, and the measure of success is getting to work or college, running a home and seeing the people they want to see.

For people living with dementia we hold hard to routine and to familiar faces. Home is already understood by the person, which is a considerable advantage, and our job is to support the routines that exist rather than to impose new ones.

We keep the same small teams with the same people as far as we can, and we revise plans when circumstances shift rather than at fixed intervals.
