About Us
Bluebird Care Rother and Hastings supports people in their own homes in Rye and across the surrounding area. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, and with younger adults who need support to live independently. Home is where most people would far rather be, and our job is to make that workable for as long as it safely can be. A visit might mean help with washing, dressing and medication, preparing a meal, keeping on top of the laundry and the house, or a hand to get out to the shops, the surgery or a friend. For many of the people we visit, particularly those living alone in the villages, the company matters as much as the practical help. Covering a rural and coastal patch means being realistic about travel, so we plan rounds carefully, arrive when we said we would and telephone if we are held up. We also work to keep the same carers going into the same homes, because familiarity is what allows somebody to notice a person is quieter, eating less or less steady than usual. Care is planned with the person and their family, written plainly and reviewed as needs change. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
