About Us
Here at My Homecare Crowborough, we provide home care support to people living in Crowborough and the surrounding areas of East Sussex. Our team works directly in the homes of the people we support, helping them to live as independently as possible in familiar and comfortable surroundings.
We support a wide range of individuals, including older people, younger adults, and those living with dementia, a learning disability or autism, a mental health condition, or a physical disability. We recognise that everyone we work with has a different story, different needs, and different expectations of the support they receive. That is why we take time to get to know each person properly before care begins, and we keep listening as things change over time.
Our approach is straightforward. We want the people we support to feel genuinely respected and heard. We do not believe in a one size fits all model. Whether someone needs a short visit each day to help with personal care, or more regular and involved support throughout the week, we work around the individual rather than asking them to fit around us.
We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistent, thoughtful care our team provides day to day. That rating matters to us, not because of what it says on paper, but because it tells the families and individuals who trust us that we are doing things properly.
If you are looking into home care for yourself or someone close to you, we are always happy to have a conversation with no obligation. Getting care right for someone takes time and thought, and we welcome the chance to talk things through at whatever pace feels right for you.

More about the care at My Homecare Crowborough
What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.
Older Person Care
An inspection on 31 July 2025 left My Homecare Crowborough with a good rating, and only six of the 25 agencies in the area have published anything newer. That makes the evidence here unusually fresh. For older people the work covers washing and dressing, medication prompts, meals and the company of a regular visit. The agency says it takes time to get to know each person before care begins and keeps listening as things change. Ask how many carers would attend one household in a fortnight, how late a call can be arranged in Crowborough, and who can be reached in the evening.
Dementia
Registration here dates from 25 January 2017, and 15 of the 25 local agencies came to the register more recently, so this is one of the longer standing services in the area. Home care for dementia depends on routines that hold, visits arriving when expected and a carer the person already knows. The agency says it does not believe in a one size fits all model and works around the individual rather than asking them to fit. Its good rating from July 2025 is recent enough to support that. Ask what dementia training carers receive, how distress at the door is handled, and how the plan is revised as the condition advances.
Learning Disability / Autism
Getting to know each person before care begins and then continuing to listen as things change is how this agency describes its method. For a learning disability or autism that matters more than most things, alongside predictable routines, attention to sensory needs and patience over independence skills. Ask who holds the relevant training, how East Sussex commissions and reviews the hours, and how often the plan is revisited.
Mental Health
Wanting the people it supports to feel genuinely respected and heard is how My Homecare Crowborough sums up its approach. For mental health that counts, since stability, routine and ordinary dignity usually do more than any programme. Ask who on the team has mental health experience, what happens in a crisis outside office hours, and how the agency works with community mental health services.
Physical Disability
Six of the 25 agencies in this area have published a newer inspection report than this one, which still dates from July 2025. Where a physical disability is involved, support turns on personal care, safe moving and handling, and whatever equipment is already in the house. Ask how carers are matched to those needs, who reviews them as they change, and what the agency will not attempt.
Younger Adults
A short visit each day or more regular and involved support through the week is how this agency describes the range it covers. For an adult under 65 the question is whether those visits can be timed around work or study rather than a rota built for an older day. Ask how early and how late carers can call, and whether the same small group can follow a changing week.
