About Us
Meloosha Homecare supports people in their own homes in Hull, Beverley and the surrounding area. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults.
Most people would rather stay in their own home, among their own things and their own neighbours, and with sensible support in place a great many can. Our job is to make that practical. Support might be a single morning call to help somebody wash, dress and start the day safely, or several visits covering personal care, medication, meals, mobility, shopping and a check in the evening to settle someone comfortably.
Before anything begins we take proper time to work out what would genuinely help, what a person would rather keep doing for themselves and how they like things done in their own house. Then we build a small, settled team around them, so the person at the door is somebody they recognise.
For people living with dementia that familiarity matters more than anything else we could offer, and it is the first thing lost when a rota is run for the provider's convenience. We protect it. Where somebody has a physical disability we learn how their equipment is used and how they prefer to be helped to move, and we follow their way of doing things.
