About Us
Farndale House Care and Support provides care in people's own homes in Beverley and across the East Riding of Yorkshire. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people with physical disabilities.
This is partly a rural area and that shapes how we work. Distances are real, villages are small, and a care worker who does not know the lanes is a care worker who arrives late. So our teams are local, they stay local, and the people they visit are people they see regularly rather than names on a rota.
Support begins with an unhurried visit and a conversation about what has actually become difficult. It is often not what families expect. Sometimes it is washing and dressing, sometimes medication or meals, sometimes getting to an appointment, and quite often it is that the house has grown very quiet. The plan follows from that and is revised as needs change.
For people living with dementia we keep the same small team visiting and work at the person's pace rather than the clock's. For autistic people we give notice of change well in advance and pay attention to sensory needs.
