About Us

Happy Futures Support Specialists works across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, providing support in people's own homes and communities. We work with older people, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults.

We take the word support seriously and try not to let it slide into doing things for people. The first conversation is about somebody's life rather than their difficulties: what a good week looks like, what stands in the way, and what they would much rather manage themselves. The rota comes after that.

In practice that means very different work for different people. Personal care, medication and household help for some. For others, somebody alongside them at college, at work, on the bus, at an appointment, or through the early weeks of living independently for the first time. We put proper resource behind both.

Consistency is the thing we work hardest at, especially for autistic people and for anybody whose day depends on knowing what is coming. The same small team stays around a person, changes get proper notice, and we stick to what we agreed even when it is inconvenient for us.

We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We would welcome hard questions about our recruitment, our training and what we do when something goes wrong.
