About Us
Caremark in East Riding provides care in people's own homes in Hessle and across the East Riding of Yorkshire. Our work is built around the life somebody already has, and the aim is to support that life rather than to reorganise it for our own convenience.
We support older adults with the tasks that have become harder: washing and dressing, medication, meals, keeping the house in order and getting out when they want to. We support people living with dementia, where continuity does more good than anything else, so we protect it wherever the rota allows. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, aiming to build confidence and skills at the individual's own pace, and with people living with mental health conditions, where a relationship built over time and early recognition of changes count for most. We support people with physical disabilities, assisting with personal care and mobility while leaving the person directing how things are done, and younger adults, whose support is planned around work, study, family and independence.
We would always rather alter an arrangement that has stopped working than keep it running out of habit, so we ask regularly whether it is still right.
