About Us
We support people in their own homes in Bridlington and the surrounding parts of the East Riding. Those we work with include older adults, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults.
Much of our work is about making somebody's own housing genuinely workable rather than merely supervised. We begin with what the person wants their life to look like rather than with a list of tasks, and our aim is to make it possible for them to do things themselves and then to step back: cooking, managing money, getting to a job or a course, using the bus, and handling the everyday business that can be daunting alone.
Predictability is central to this work. Knowing who is coming and when, being told about changes in good time, and not having arrangements altered casually are often what separates a manageable week from a difficult one.
Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep asking the people we support what we should be doing differently, and we act on the answers rather than filing them.
